Yellow Rose and Branch Hands | Tattoo Designs

Wooden roses allow one to use a large range of colours; arranging flowers is a bit like running the country. Barack Obama has to gather his supporters, arrange for them to be in the right place at the right time and have strong opinions expressed at important points in time. There are situations in which he has to use subtlety and quiet, clear thinking. His approach is designed to suit the task or the moment or the people at hand.
Floral art has similar demands on the practitioners. You need to assess what kind of an event it is for which you are designing an arrangement of flowers. What are the personalities of those involved, should it be quiet and calm, should it be conservative, should it be lively and energetic or should it be unusual and creative?
It can be truly breathtaking to create a swathe of flowers across a table that has a change of colour from say dark blue, moving to purple and changing through to deep red. Sometimes a strong contrasting accent of colour such as a bright yellow group somewhere in a colourful throng of flowers can really lift a display that you have created. It is important not to forget the supporting material that is always part of the floral artist's armoury, such as flax leaves and palm fronds and cedar branches and pine cones and all of the other natural and created accoutrements that can be used to contrast or complement the arrangement or tease the eye.
If you take note of how a consummate politician like Barack Obama deals with the national and international issues that arise, you will see some of the qualities of the conductor of an orchestra and of course the arranger of flowers and foliage, the floral artist. Didn't know you were a politician did you?
There are times when tactical decisions need to be made when creating a new arrangement for an event. Are any of the principal participants allergic to any types of flowers? If so, one solution is to use wooden roses or other created flowers. Are there particular types of flowers that have bad memories for the participants? Is there a particular flower that is wanted in the display? Do you need to be aware of any culturally significant aspects of flowers (good or bad). The type of event will also affect the mood you wish to create. A twenty first would give you different opportunities from a wedding or a fiftieth anniversary. You would go from light lively and great creative freedom to more traditional and conservative effects (depending on the individuals). See, you are a politician!
I enjoy creating a roomful of flowers, and I like the flexibility afforded by wooden roses or indeed many artificial flowers. My preference is for bunches or groups of roses that are close but not exactly the same colour. I like to place these arrangements in such a way that the room colour appears to change gradually across the space available. As I mentioned before I like to include an accent of contrasting colour occasionally appearing in some of the bunches. This intensifies the original colour and gives a visual anchor here and there as the eye crosses the room.
Often people are surprised to discover that the wooden roses are not in fact real and need to touch them to reassure themselves that they are made of wood. I am eagerly awaiting another box of wooden roses so that I can experiment with some new ideas I have.
I would encourage you to experiment with flowers, real or hand made, and be bold, don't be afraid to experiment. Go to other peoples' displays and see what is being created, but don't slavishly follow what seems to be the trend. Decide what you like and copy it at home. When you are invited to weddings have a look at what has been achieved with the flowers. Do you see anything that inspires ideas? Don't be afraid to write yourself notes and ideas as you see or are inspired by things around you.
I have seen some displays that show little feeling for design or creativity, but nonetheless still create a pleasant atmosphere. What you should aim to achieve is something people notice and love and are affected by. There are some very creative flower arrangers out there with great imaginations and a wonderfully original sense of colour. Flowers up high and down low use the room space with great aplomb. Huge bunches contrasting with single flowers and bright bursts of sunlight yellow vying with deep purple and dark blue accents.
I hope I have given you some ideas to play with when arranging flowers at home to brighten up your space or to create something more formal for friends or family.

Foot Tattoos | On Tattoo Designs

Foot tattoos have recently become popular with girls looking to get a new tattoo. Foot tattoos are very subtle, and are considered very feminine, elegant and sexy. Foot tattoos are inked on the top of the foot, which is a relatively small area. As the canvas is small, foot tattoo designs are also necessarily small in size. Any small design can potentially make a great foot tattoo, however the most popular foot tattoo designs include stars, flowers, butterflies, birds, fairies, fish, dolphins, hearts, as well as tribal and
celtic designs. Some foot tattoos extend up to the ankle and lower leg.

Tribal and
floral designs, as well as designs incorporating multiple individual elements such as butterflies, look especially good flowing from the foot up to the ankle. Another popular option is to ink the name of a loved one or a favourite phrase. Text can be written in a variety of styles and can even be translated and inked in a foreign language or script.

Foot tattoos have the advantage of being incredibly easy to hide away when required. A pair of shoes that cover the foot is all that is needed. This is an important consideration for people whose employers have a strict dress code in place that outlaws tattoos. Foot tattoos are also incredibly easy to show off. A pair of sandals, or going barefoot, will allow you to show your tattoo off to the world.

Tattoo Designs - Symbols of Strength

While you can choose a tattoo design that literally means "strength", as in Kanji, the important thing is to have a design that gives you strength. You can choose from a number of designs as long as the one you choose has a special meaning and significance to you. It may remind you of someone close to you or someone who supported you in troubled times. Maybe someone who was there for you when you were young and from whom you gained strength.

Animal Tattoo Designs

A number of cultures used animal images to give them strength. The animals in their worlds they most admired would be a source of strength, endurance, and courage. By tattooing the animal images on their bodies they hoped to become more like them. Thus the image of a bear or lion or wolf would help the tattoo owners to become more courageous or stronger.
This might apply to you - the person who gives you strength could be represented by an image of a powerful animal, one renowned for its strength and courage.

Tribal Tattoo Designs

Tribal tattoos can evoke images in the mind of tribal battles for leadership, fighting for survival or dominance, hunting wild animals, braving the elements. They can take us back to primitive man when life itself was a gamble and only the strong survived. Whether the tattoos were done as part of a rite of passage, or to denote a position in the tribe or as an animal totem, they were all done crudely which inflicted pain. Just having the tattoo said the wearer was a person of courage because of the pain endured. Indeed, some tattoos were done simply to test a person's ability to endure pain - a test of courage.

Angel or Wing Tattoo Designs

People in the West are a familiar with Guardian Angels and as special messengers from God. Angels are also part of Jewish and Islamic faiths as well as a number of other religions and cultures going back to ancient times. They are usually represented as creatures with wings. An angel tattoo can remind us of strength as we are protected or inspired by these spiritual creatures. Wing tattoos can also act in the same way. Wings can give us a sense of protection, a sense of freedom - as in flight. How many oppressed people or prisoners or those who have lost freedom have dreamed of flying to freedom. Songs have been written about it.

Maybe there is someone in your life you see as your guardian angel, someone who inspires you, lifts you up. Perhaps it is an event - something you saw or did that makes your spirit take flight. A tattoo design of an angel or a set of wings could bring this to mind, to give you strength.

Cross Tattoos Designs

The cross is an enduring symbol of faith, hope and love. It can be used to remind you to have faith when things turn against you. It can be used to sustain you through tough times. It can be used to remember loved ones and to connect to them in spirit to give you strength.

There are other tattoo designs that can give you strength: the crown, a symbol of authority and leadership; the dragon, with its strength and magical powers; texts that are inspirational in themselves or favorite quotes of someone you love or admire. The tattoo design you choose to give you strength may be on public display but the feelings it evokes in you are uniquely yours. This is one tattoo that should be done just for you.

Second Life Fashion Design Tips - Where To Get Started

Designing fashion for Second Life can be a daunting prospects. Lots of residents spend lots of lindens on Second Life clothes, and a sure way to make money is to do the same. The great thing about designing SL fashion is that you can sell the same item multiple times. In fact, you can sell it as many times as you want.

The only tough part is getting started. If you are not a programmer, designer or familiar with photo-editing, you aren't going to feel comfortable, and you won't know where to get started. But don't worry, we've come up with three easy steps you can take to start you on your way to becoming a true fashionista.

STEP 1: MASTER THE IN-GAME FASHION DESIGNER: The first step in becoming a fashion designer in SL is to get used to the in-game fashion designer. Open the appearance tool (either through the top-menu or by right-clicking on your avatar) and you can edit a multitude of different factors of your avatar's appearance. To change clothing, or design new ones, you'll need to get familiar with the texture and color menu's. Once you get comfortable with the in-game designer, you can move on to the next step.

STEP 2: GET PHOTO-EDITING: To move past the simple designs you can make through the appearance editor, you'll need to get some photo-editing software. Though many of these programs can run $300 or more, we've found an alternative that is just as good. If you want to start designing fashion seriously, you'll need The GIMP. (http://www.gimp.org/). This freeware is just as good as the commercial software out there, and there is a very active and helpful community of Gimp users that can help you. Download Gimp and learn how to use some of the features. After you do this, you are ready to move on

STEP 3: GET TEMPLATES: To use Gimp (or other photo-editing software) to design clothes for SL, you'll need some templates. A template is simply a 3-D rendering that can be laid over an avatar. With a template, you can design skins, tattoo's and clothes. To start off with, you should download Robin Wood's t-shirt template. (http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/SL-Tuts/SLTutSet.html) This will allow you to create your very first template design: a t-shirt. The template itself is very well done, and by using layers and masks, Robin Wood has created one of the best SL Fashion aides around. Use it.

Of course, there is a lot more to fashion design than what we've told you about. (We've created an excellent fashion design guide which you can find on our website. Just click on the link below.) You can spend a lot of time learning how to create fashions, but in the end, what you want is up to you. Designing clothes for SL residents is not difficult, but it does take knowledge and practice. If you can get as far as step three, you will be ahead of 90% of everyone else in the game.

Accentuate Your Body With a Sexy Tattoo Design

Tattoos, which are largely popular today can be an accessory to spice up one's looks. Women, in particular, are often closely associated with sexy tattoo designs. These designs are tattooed in various parts of the body - some exposed to the public eye while other sexy tat designs are tattooed discreetly in parts that remain shielded from the prying eyes.

The options are aplenty where sexy tat designs are concerned. Still, the crop of women tend to largely associate tat designs that are colored with sexiness. For instance, a large rose tattoo with bright red colors on its petals, green for its leaves and brown/black for its stem/thorns is widely regarded as sexy. Having mentioned that, where sexy tattoo designs are concerned, many have the notion that apart from the designs in itself, the placement of these tattoos in itself are equally important.

As we mentioned earlier, sexy tattoos that are tattooed on different parts of the body will give out different messages or different levels of sexiness for that matter. As an example, women who choose to get tattoos on their breast and chest are are said to be romantic. On the other hand, tattoos that are done on the more intimate areas of the woman's body such as the inner thigh is said to ooze high in the level of sexiness. The reason for this is, as we mentioned early in the article, rarely seen by most people other than those that have c close, intimate and sexy relationship.

What this means is the issue of sexy tat designs is largely debatable and one that largely depends on the individual getting the tattoo. It comes down to the choice of whether the bearer intends the sexy tat design to be appreciated by the public or reserved for a special someone.

In addition, as sexy tat designs becomes increasingly popular and complement a host of different popular fashion, style and trends, more women are getting these tattoos to go with their hair, top, handbag and other fashionable accessories. With that in mind, an experience tattoo artist will be able to give suggestions and recommendations regarding the perfect sexy tattoo designs to obtain in order to complement a specific fashion, style or/and trend that is currently hot.

The above is only a guide for you to get your sexy tattoo designs that would suit you most. Getting the perfect sexy tattoo design will accentuate your body features and can make you look sexier than you would otherwise be without them.

Suicide Girls Review | On House Of Tattoo

Alt porn model from the Suicide Girls showing tattoos.

Suicide Girls weren't the first alt-porn site but you could say they took porn to a whole new level. They are without doubt the most widely promoted if not the largest and most influential of all alt-porn sites. They effectively made porn cool attracting nerds as well as hipsters and thats just the models. Although Suicide Girls have received their fair share of criticism there is no doubt that they have redefined pornography and attract a predominantly female audience. The models themselves have been described as cynical, bitter and jaded as hell or appealing to the Emo set. There seems to be no shortage of guys who want to discuss Voltaire with them whilst jacking off and they are not disappointed. There is no academic deficiencies amongst some of the girls. Their spokesperson and regular columnists Marisa Di Mattia of Needled fame is a high flying legal eagle.
